Decota was contracted to design, permit, and construct a wetland mitigation project located within the Green Bottom Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Cabell County, West Virginia on behalf of the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection. A total of 12.08 acres of wetland were constructed as part of this project.
Decota’s responsibilities included natural channel design, wetland delineations, botanical surveys, WV SWVM credit determinations, construction management, NPDES permitting, annual mitigation monitoring, and surveying. Appalachian Stream Restoration was contracted to complete the construction phase of this project.
